Alexander Bachl (Clarinet)
Alexander Bachl has been the solo clarinettist in the National Philharmonic Orchestra Hamburg Since 1997 and Professor at the University of Music and Theatre in Hamburg since 2004.
Alexander Bachl was born in Augsburg in 1973. At the age of 12, he was given clarinet lessons for the first time by Herbert Hohaus at the Leopold-Mozart-Academy of Music in Augsburg.
Between 1990 and 1994 he was a junior student at the Richard-Strauss-Academy of Music in Munich, mentored by Deborah Marshall.
Alexander Bachl studied at the University of Music and Theater in Cologne under Professor Ralph Manno from 1994 until 1998. He earned his arts diploma „with honours“.
In 1994 he won the 1st national competition „Youth makes music“ as well as the first prize of the university competitions in Cologne in 1995 and 1996.
